Rwandan Correctbooks are produced in Kigali, Rwanda!
The fourth episode of the second season of our series “Correctbook Diary” can now be found on our YouTube channel!
In this episode we take a look at the Correctbook production location in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda.
We also visit different retail spaces that are for rent. Our vision is very simple: We want to make endless writing available for everybody in a sustainable way. Starting a shop in Rwanda would be a logical next step.
But that is not as easy as you might think!
Did you know that we think local production is very important? Almost everything we do in Rwanda is done locally: production, distribution, developing the education, monitoring the process etc.
The paper industry is one of the most advanced industries in Africa. Approximately 40 per cent of the working staff in this industry is female. That is a positive sign compared to other industries. In Correctbook’s production facility we have 50 employees of whom 20 are female.
In the picture below you see Ezechiel. He is responsible for all Correctbook’s activities in Rwanda. Next to him you see Robert who is responsible for the production department.
Below you see our search for a retail space;
Also our Correctbook clothes are made locally!
Don’t you have a Correctbook yet? Check them out in our webshop. With the purchase of each Correctbook you make three months of endless writing material available to one child in Africa.
