2.1 What data does Correctbook collect and process?

Data provided by you
Correctbook collects and processes the data you have provided by yourself when placing an order or registering on the website, for example for the newsletter or customer account. For your order we need your correct name and address details. You can optionally specify a different delivery address in addition to your own. We need your e-mail address so that we can confirm receipt and shipment of your order and in general so that we can communicate with you or send you a newsletter if you have registered for it. We will also use your email address to identify you as a sign-in name for your customer account.

Automatically Generated Information
In addition to the data mentioned above, Correctbook collects automatically generated information about your surfing behaviour during your use of the website. This information includes your IP address, the type of browser you use and the pages you visit. In addition to what is permitted by law and on the basis of your consent, we will only collect and use anonymised data, which cannot be linked to individuals, for statistical purposes and for the continuous improvement of our internet services.

In addition, Correctbook collects information via "cookies" which are stored on your computer by your browser. In section 3.3 of this privacy policy you can read more about the use of cookies by Correctbook.

2.2 How does Correctbook protect your personal data?

If you have created a customer account for our web shop, access is only possible, to the extent we facilitate such access, after entering your personal username and password. Your password is not transparent to us and we advise you not to share it with third parties in order to prevent possible abuse. Personal data can be added, deleted and/or changed in the customer account. If you do not log out of your customer account, you will remain logged in automatically. In order to prevent unauthorised access to your confidential data, it is important to always log out and close the browser window when you have finished communicating with us, especially if you share your computer with others.

  1. Use of your data for advertising purposes

In addition to processing your data in order to complete your purchase at Correctbook, we also use your data for the following purposes: to permanently improve your shopping experience and to create a customer-friendly and individual shopping experience for you; to communicate with you about your orders and about certain products or marketing campaigns; and to recommend products or services that might interest you. We use existing information for this purpose, such as, for example, acknowledgements of receipt and reading of emails, information about the end device you use, your connection to the internet, operating system and platform, date and time of the visit to the homepage, or products you have viewed and information we receive from you (including information automatically transferred or generated). In addition, we will also use your order history. You can object to the use of your personal data for advertising purposes in its entirety or for certain activities at any time. A textual communication to the contact details listed in section 1 (e-mail, letter) is sufficient for this purpose.

3.1 Advertising banners
We also use the data collected during your visit to display so-called advertising banners. These are advertisements that we place on pages of third parties. This is usually done using so-called cookies or pixels (see section 4). We aim to make the advertising offer more useful and interesting for you, which is why in the advertising banners you will mainly see products that you have already viewed on our site or products that are similar to the products you have viewed (so-called retargeting). With respect to advertising banners, we only work with pseudonymous data; non-encrypted textual information about your person (e.g. your name or e-mail address) is not stored in the cookies. Further information on retargeting can be found in section 3.2 and on cookies and pixels in section 4 of this policy.

3.2 Retargeting and data registration by third parties for advertising banners
With respect to retargeting and advertising banners, we use third party services which place cookies or pixels (see section 4) on our site. These are the following providers:

- Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, V.S.;

- Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, V.S.; https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy

  1. Cookies

As indicated in the cookie banner, Correctbook uses various types of cookies, web beacons and JavaScripts (hereinafter collectively referred to as "cookies"). In this privacy policy we explain what these cookies are, what these cookies are used for and how you can adjust the settings of your browser to accept or reject cookies. Accepting cookies is not a condition for visiting our website. Please note, however, that the use of the shopping cart function and ordering products is only possible with the activation of cookies.

4.1 Consent
We do not need your consent in order to place and read out certain cookies. This applies to cookies that are necessary for communication over the internet, cookies that are only used to provide our services or analytical cookies that have no or minimal impact on your privacy. For other cookies, we will ask for your consent before we place and read them. We do this via the cookie banner in our shop. This states that you accept cookies by continuing to click in our shop. Is this not what you want? Then you can choose to go to another website or app with similar content.

If you wish to withdraw your consent to the use of cookies, you can delete them or have them deleted by your browser or virus scanner. In that case, Correctbook will assume that permission to place cookies has been revoked and will ask you for permission again when you next visit the website. If you withdraw your permission, however, you may not be able to use all the possibilities of the website, or you may not have access to (certain parts of) the website.

4.2 What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your terminal equipment when you visit a website. Information is stored in this text file. Some cookies are deleted after the end of the browser session, i.e. after closing your browser (session cookies). Other cookies remain on your terminal equipment and enable us to recognise your browser again the next time you visit (permanent cookies). You can see the duration of the cookies used in your browser menu. Cookies cannot harm your computer or the files stored on your computer. Certain cookies are necessary because the site will not function properly otherwise. Other cookies are used to increase the user-friendliness of the site for the visitor. For example, to safely remember your user name and language preference. As a result, you no longer have to fill in this information every time you visit the site. Some cookies are used to show you targeted advertisements on Correctbook's websites.

Web beacons are small graphic images on a web page that are hidden from the user, and which can be used to measure visits and use of a web page.

A JavaScript is a programme that is placed on the user's peripheral equipment and executed from the peripherals. By executing this programme, Correctbook can determine where the visitor is on the website and which actions are carried out. In this way, Correctbook gains better insight into the visitor's behaviour, enabling Correctbook to better organise the website and advertise more specifically on the Internet.

4.3 What types of cookies does Correctbook use and for what purpose?
The cookies used by Correctbook can be divided into different categories, as explained below.

Functional cookies
This category of cookies is required to ensure that the website works properly. For example, these cookies allow information from one page to be taken to the next. This way you do not have to fill in the same information every time. They also make sure that certain preferences you have given when using a Correctbook website (such as language settings or text size) are remembered when you use the websites in the future. Your prior consent is not required for the use of these cookies.

Analytical cookies
These cookies are required to ensure that our websites are permanently tailored to the needs of our users by identifying anonymously how users use our websites. Given the low impact of these cookies on your privacy, no consent is required for the use of these cookies. These analytical cookies also include cookies placed and read by third parties on behalf of Correctbook, such as Google Analytics (see paragraph 5).

Social Media cookies
In order to be able to easily share the content of our websites with others through buttons, we use social media cookies from social media parties so that they can recognise you. For the cookies placed by the social media parties when clicking on the buttons and the data that can be collected with them, please refer to the declarations of these various parties. Your consent is required for the use of these cookies.

Advertising cookies

These are cookies that can track your surfing behaviour on our and other websites. In this way we and advertisers can display personalised online advertisements and customised content based on your surfing behaviour. We ask for your permission to place these cookies. Advertisement cookies are usually placed by parties other than the provider of the site on which the advertisement is published.

4.4 Changes to the cookie policy
Correctbook may from time to time make changes to this cookie policy without notifying you, for example because its website or cookie regulations change. Changes will take effect immediately once they have been published on the website. We advise you to consult this privacy policy on a regular basis in order to be aware of any changes and, if desired, to adjust settings. By continuing to use this website, you agree to any changes to the privacy policy.

  1. Web analysis

In order to continuously improve and optimise our offers, we use so-called tracking technologies. For this purpose, we use the service of Google Analytics.
